7S Router Requirements

Table 1 shows the minimum levels of boot and diagnostic programmable

read-only memory (PROM) code required for an ARN multiserial expansion

module.

For information about upgrading PROM, see Upgrading Routers to BayRS

Version 13.10.

Attaching Cables

This section shows the cable connections for the E7S and 7S expansion modules.

Connect the appropriate cabling to the new Ethernet and serial interfaces. Refer to

the Cable Guide for the cables available from Bay Networks

Figure 1 shows the Ethernet cable connection to an E7S expansion module.
