Creating spanning tree groups

To configure spanning tree groups:

1 From the main menu, choose Application > Spanning Tree > Group Creation.

The Group Creation page opens (Figure 81).

STP Group

Table

Deletes the group.

Group The number assigned to the spanning tree group when the group was created.

Bridge Priority For the STP Group, indicates the management-assigned priority value of the

bridge ID in hexadecimal notation, which is the most significant byte of the bridge

ID. The spanning tree algorithm uses this parameter to determine the root bridge

(or designated bridge). For example, the bridge with the lowest bridge ID

becomes the root bridge, with Bridge Priority values.
