Parameter: Conﬁgure RIP

Default: Depends on whether you have RIP conﬁgured

Options: Yes

Function: Indicates whether you have RIP conﬁgured on this interface.

Instructions: The Conﬁguration Manager sets the default value for the Conﬁgure RIP

parameter based on your selection in the Select Protocols window. You

can, however, change the value of this parameter as long as the XNS

Conﬁguration window remains in the workstation display.

MIB Object ID: 99999.7.3

Parameter: Implementation

Default: Xerox

Options: Xerox

Function: Speciﬁes the version of XNS you want to add to this circuit. At this time,

your only option is Xerox.

Instructions: Accept the default value.

Note: If you already have XNS conﬁgured on the router, this ﬁeld does not

appear.

Note: You can change the value of the Network Address, Base Host Number,

and Implementation parameters only as long as the XNS Conﬁguration

window remains in the workstation display. However, once you save the

contents of this window, these parameters appear only in the list of XNS

interfaces in the XNS option conﬁguration screens. You cannot edit the

Network Address parameter in any option conﬁguration screen. To change the

network address of a speciﬁc XNS interface, you must delete the interface

from its circuit, then add the interface again to the same circuit, this time

specifying the new network address.
