Media Bay Modules settings
Configuration notes:
If your system is configured with a 3/5 DS30 channel split, DS30 bus 7 is not available to media bay modules.
The extensions listed (DNs) are based on a the default three-digit DN with a Start DN of 221. If your system has longer
DNs or a different Start DN, enter the range in the Custom DNs column. Remember, if your system is part of a private
network, your DN length and range must meet network parameters.
Note the settings you choose for your media bay modules on the chart under Media Bay Module Lines and DNs on
page 25 to create a system record.
You will note that the second-level DNs (17-32) for systems upgraded from 2.5 to 3.0 are not consecutive to the first
16 DNs. This was done so that you would not need to update all your existing telephones when you upgraded to
Business Communications Manager 3.0. On new 3.0 systems, the DNs are consecutive for each 32-DN set.
