For the server type connections, set the assignment using:

If CHANNEL is specified and the corresponding link is closed first, then it is

connected.

If CHANNEL is not specified, the assignment is applied to all undefined links (links

missing some host specifications).

The CONTROL operation of the PeriProducer resource block forces the daemon to re-

establish a connection (for example, when an administrative application misses pings

from the host).

Dynamic Connections For Each Line

To allow the Avaya VTCPD to open a new connection for each new call, start Avaya

VTCPD with the number of links equal to the number of phone lines and do not

specify the host name or port number. This also tells the host to expect a new

connection for each line (and each call). Do not specify the host name or port number,

since the host name or port number specifications will prevent Avaya VTCPD from

opening real connections. For example:

vtcpd -l 48::10000 ...
