Severity: Warning

Message: HIMIB<no.>

- IMR Communication failure detected.

Meaning: A communication failure between the indicated pair of repeater devices was detected. This

event will be followed by one of 2 other Events:

• HIMIB<no.> - IMR Communication Re-established (Fault Entity/Event Code 71/15

indicating that this was a temporary condition.

• HIMIB<no.> - IMR Interface error (Entity/Event Code 71/2

), indicating that the

problem has not recovered.

Severity: Warning

Message: Rptr Driver configured on unsupported Module: <Module name> - Driver going dormant.

Meaning: Either the repeater driver attempted to load on a non-hub AN model, or there is a hardware

problem with the ANH repeater. The repeater driver can only be configured on an Access

Node Hub (8-Port ANH or 12-Port ANH). If the driver attempts to load on any other AN,

the router frees all resources allocated to the repeater driver after displaying this message.

If this event occurs on an ANH, the repeater daughtercard may not be seated properly in its

connector.

Action: For an AN without repeater support, correct the configuration.

For any ANH, verify that the repeater daughtercard is properly installed. Call the Bay

Networks Technical Solutions Center if the failure persists.
