Meaning: There is a configuration error.

Action: Reconfigure the X.25 packet-level parameters or the LAPB link-level parameters.

Severity: Warning

Message: Connect attempts exceeded on service Line <line_no.>.

Meaning: The router exceeded the number of attempts to connect to the remote end node, as

determined by the value of the N2 counter.

Action: The LAPB layer will restart by itself and attempt to connect until the link is up.

Severity: Warning

Message: Error in Data Request to LAPB layer.

Meaning: There was an internal data request, which may cause a loss of data.

Action: If the problem continues, call the Bay Networks Technical Solutions Center.

Meaning: The network connection cable may be disconnected. Or, there was an internal data request,
